It does not have to be overtly said-
We can just sit, gaze, giggle, share and smile;
All these little things, fill me til I’m fed.
It satiates, takes me along the while.
Getting to know your nuances, your care;
Breaking through your shell and holding back mine
Allowing a congruence; love we share.
But, what if the ugly pasts reared their heads
Sharpening claws, restricting our progress
Will you run away, filling me with dread
So it would halt our forward congress?
Come…stay with me, along the way we go.
Come…wrap yourself around me as we flow.
Beautiful poem with an even lovelier picture. Great post, Mr Bornstoryteller
Thank you.
Made me think of this:
Shall we let the fears of our pasts halt our future – not you, not I
Lets live and breath in the moment before we die
you have inspired me
Thank you SJ.
Great sonnet.
And I love the picture you posted with it!
Thanks GE. It was inspired by someone. The photo came later
Very nice sonnet. My husband read a sonnet to me when he first told me he loved me .. way back when. So, I’m quite fond of sonnets.
That is nice. really.
Ah, I haven’t read a sonnet in a long time.
I have more on the blog…hope you enjoy them
