Smiling Woman
She could no longer hear no evil
She could no longer see no evil
But speak evil…
Oh, yes…she could.
With her razor sharp tongue
And smug, upturned nose;
With bent spine, clawed hands jagged and rough
Her mouth could still speak the hurtful:
Kindness…not in her vocabulary.
Her taunts, her chides, her demeaning sneering snarls
Oh, they bit, they bite, they take chunks out of you!
There is no chance that she’ll see how she wounds
How it effects those in her path
No chance she’ll hear, or listen to, the “please…no more!”
Hers is a voice without pity, speaking evil…
Her cheeks bloom, rosy, when she finally smiles.

We have a lot in common from looking at your bio and wow, the imagery here is more than slightly scary to me. Are you, perhaps, describing my third grade teacher, Ms. Pizzarro?

NOT MS PIZZARO!!! 😉 no, never knew her, but there is a certain type out there. Thanks Julie.

Wow, that is as beautiful as it is kind of scary to read. The smile at the end made me nervous. Some amazing imagery and emotions in here.

That is one scary photo. Reminds me of a woman who was just like that in life, and after she passed away the will and instructions deliberately set the children against each other, ensuring that bitterness would live on long after she was gone…*shudder*
