And so it stood
Tall, reaching up, and out
Changing with the seasons
But subtle,
subtle...

Daily, looking out his window
He takes photos of the tree
The leaves full and green
The leaves rich with colors
The leaves fallen on the ground
The leaves made of snow and ice

At times, the landscape, hidden
Dense, rolling fog
But not the tree
Standing tall...
...against the cloudy mist
...announcing itself
...for all to view
...outside his window

And so it stands
Tall, reaching up, and out
Changing with the seasons
But subtle,
subtle...
